- Saturday, 14 November 2015 No Comments
Babies are the most precious gift of God; hence they are extremely cared and loved my every parent. However baby care is something that requires a lot of time as well as efficiency. Mostly working parents face a lot of problems when it comes to taking care of their baby and managing work at the same time. This is the reason that many parents opt for nurseries or day care centers. But the question here is, are all nurseries for the babies good? Do they take proper care of your loved ones? Well, yes there are majority of nurseries that are very good and know exactly how to take good care of your baby, but you have to research a little before you finally decide on the baby care nursery you choose for your little one.
Well if you are a working couple and are finding solutions on how to find the right nursery for your baby. I think your reading the right article to find out, by just keeping these few points in mind you can ensure that you baby is in the right hands.
Important aspects to keep in mind while selecting a nursery for your baby
  • Firstly, you need to find out if the nursery that you have chosen is government recognized or not. This is really important, as there are many people who come up with nurseries, but are not recognized by the government. The only reason behind this is that government recognized nurseries are reliable, efficient and appoint highly professional people to take care of your baby the right way.
  • Secondly, it is always better to find out about the baby care nursery you choose before in hand. Now, this can be done either by asking parents who have already sent their babies there or by parents who are taking yet taking their services.
  • Thirdly, after you have decided for a particular baby care nursery, you should pay frequent surprise visit to the nursery every now and then for at least the first 3 months. This will ensure that your baby is in the right hands and will also keep the nursery staff alert, as a result extra care will be taken for your baby. However after 3 months you could reduce the number of visits you make to the baby care nursery.
  • Fourthly, you must make it a point to ask a few questions daily while picking you baby up from the nursery. Questions like, what did the baby eat? For how long did the baby sleep? Was the baby happy or cranky throughout the day? And things like that. This will always help you, as the nursery staff will always keep a record to get back to you with answers.

3 Adorable Nursery Themes

- Thursday, 12 November 2015 No Comments
Have you been wondering what theme your nursery should have? A good theme is a great start to any nursery decorating plan. Finding the right theme for your nursery will be a little tricky, so it's best to start looking for inspiration from different sources and with plenty of time to spare. There are so many different nursery themes to choose from, it can be hard to know where to start. There are color themes, which are common, but the more unusual themes are where you will find the best choices. Still clueless and looking for an inspiration? Here are some popular, unique and cute baby room themes which are also budget friendly and easy to develop.
1. Mother Goose and CompanyFind a bunch of your favorite nursery rhymes and use them to create a world of storybook adventures for your little one. Your inspiration can come from 3 Blind Mice, Hey Diddle Diddle, or even old Mother Goose herself. This is an awesome choice if you want to create a one-of-a-kind mural, or if you want to get a very traditional theme that will leave your child smiling. Also, it's a great way to encourage your baby to get an interest in literature or books.
2. The Teddy Bear PicnicEver since Theodore "Teddy" Roosevelt was in office, the teddy bear has become a mainstay among childhood toys. For decades there have been nurseries and children's rooms that had these fuzzy little companions as both decoration and cherished friends. Teddy bears are sweet, cuddly, and adorable. Shopping for a teddy bear themed room will be extremely easy, considering how popular these childhood icons are. The theme is well developed in baby bedding, carpets, wall décor, etc. Moreover, the bears are a toy that every child enjoys tremendously and has at least one of, regardless of the nursery theme!
3. Race Track Rides - If you want a bit more action in the nursery and secretly dream of the day when your son or daughter will win a NASCAR race, maybe it's time to get an automotive-themed nursery. Cars, trucks, racer flags, and even stop lights can add a high speed thrill to any nursery. Possibly the easiest theme to choose your favorite colors for, having a race car theme also provides another benefit that many other nursery themes cannot provide. Unlike teddy bears and Mother Goose, a race car theme will still be popular with boys well into their grade school years. And, if your son or daughter actually does become a NASCAR fan, a lot of the things that you used to decorate the nursery might just stick around for decades.
Choosing a theme for your nursery is just the starting point; it will help you to stay 'on track' when choosing colors, shopping for crib bedding, finding accessories, etc. It will guide you through the nursery design project and will make the process less stressful and more enjoyable.

Three Adorable Nursery Themes for Girls

- Tuesday, 10 November 2015 No Comments
Girls are wonderful blessings for any family. Parents, especially moms to be, enjoy creating their little girl's perfect nursery. Having a hard time figuring out what to decorate your nursery with? Consider the three new, popular, and adorable nursery themes for girls we have in store for you!
  1. One of the best ways to get the most bang for your buck is with a versatile theme that can grow with your daughter. The easiest way to accomplish this is with a geometric shapes theme. Sleek, stylish, and oh-so-cute, pink bubbles on your daughter's wall will add a sweet touch to an otherwise drab nursery. The best thing about this is that it's cute without being traditionally cute. For real fashionistas, choosing the right color scheme will be a huge decision. Currently, pink and brown are considered to be great matching colors. Pink and lilac also work well, as do pink and yellow. The best way to get this theme to work without being too busy is to post the geometric shapes on a cream colored wall.

  2. Another way to get compliments for your nursery is to have a dessert-themed nursery. Sure, dieters and health food fiends may not like this one, but who can really resist the cuteness of cupcakes? Line your daughter's nursery with a cupcake border, and add small ice cream accents throughout the nursery's walls. There are candy bar pillows available for sale for when your daughter gets a little older. Baby quilts and baby crib bedding designers have already embraced this theme wholeheartedly and there are sets and quilts available in candy, cupcake and ice cream themes. Some crafty moms might enjoy making their daughter's toy box resemble a petit four. This will be a sweet treat for any young honey!

  3. For people who are looking for a more natural, earthy approach to nursery decoration, a garden theme is an excellent choice. Filled with plenty of eco-friendly toys, your daughter's nursery will help her calm down even when she's just a young sprout. Painting walls with murals of a garden, adding wall stickers in the shape of butterflies and dragonflies, and also keeping natural wooden furniture will encourage your daughter to respect nature once she's out in the world. A pair of colorful rubber boots and a water can added in the corner will embellish your garden-nursery decor even more. Paint a few puffy clouds and a warming smiley sun on the ceiling and you will get a winning nursery décor for your precious flower to grow in!
The beauty of these three nursery themes is that they allow you to exercise your imagination and creativity and to design a nursery which will be uniquely yours.

How Does A Nursery Help A Child In His Early Years?

- Monday, 9 November 2015 No Comments
Early childhood is the most sensitive and crucial stage of a person's life. At an early age, a child's mind opens up and thus he or she questions things. Children who ask questions and want to know the how and why of things are more the ones that are most successful. A Nursery school helps children develop curiosity and the habit of questioning things for it develops deep thinking and opens up their minds.
All parents want to provide the best for their children, but many times they do not have the right sources to educate their child the way he or she rightly deserves. Therefore, a preschool designs courses and curriculum for toddlers and preschoolers, which helps them develop; mental, emotional and social capabilities.
Learn New Things
A nursery is a child's first step in the world of formal education. Children get familiar with letters, numbers, figures, shapes and colors. They get to know about things in their surroundings and hence learn to recognize them too. Educators provide necessary tools to help children learn, and encourage learning through a variety of nursery games.
Develop Social Skills
Every child is unique and has different individual traits. While some are confident and friendly, others are shy and introvert. Nursery schools provide a comfortable and nurturing environment where they learn to be confident, bold and make friends with more children.
Identify Individual Talent
Children start showing their interests as early as the age of 3 years old. Some children like problem solving, while others like story telling sessions more. Nursery teachers provide the right kind of tools for children where they can get better at their individual capabilities. Preschools provide a range of activities in order to spot your child's interests and then channel him or her in that direction, positively and smartly.
Instill Good Values
The first 5 years of a child's life are very crucial as he or she has the ability to learn whatever he or she is taught. Therefore, it is the time when kids need the most attention. Kids need to be loved, respected, appreciated and valued. Kids learn by imitation; so they learn what they see. Nursery teachers instill good moral values in children. They reinforce positive behavior in kids and discourage negative behavior.
Physical Development
A good preschool program is a combination of both classroom study and outdoor play including physical exercises like yoga, sports, and other physical activities. Physical exercises help children to become strong; internally and mentally. Physical exercise is good for mental, emotional and physiological health. Children who are physically active are more happy and confident, and overall are able to deal with various situations in a better way than those who aren't.

What Do You Need To Know About Nursery Care For Your Child?

- Sunday, 8 November 2015 No Comments
According to Department of Work and Pensions (DWP) statistics, 76% of mothers return to work within 12-18 months of their child's birth. Options for childcare during working hours in the UK commonly are; being looked after by another family member or friend, child-minders, or professional nursery care.
Nursery care is offered by day nurseries, with approximately 15,000 in the UK and roughly two-thirds of children in the UK under 5 years of age attending a day nursery for some part of the working week. Nursery care is typically available for children aged 0-5 years old. However, do check with your local provider as some nurseries will take children from 6 months or some only from 2 years of age. Open hours are usually from 8am-6pm and some offer extended hours for an additional cost or services such as school pick-ups or drop-offs and holiday clubs for older children.
Children can attend on a full-time or a part-time basis. Some nurseries offer nursery care year-round and others only offer term-time contracts so, again, it is worth checking. In the UK, children aged 3 and over are eligible for 15 free hours of nursery care each week starting in the term following their third birthday. Again, it is worth checking with your local provider as not all nurseries offer the free hours and there can be some restrictions around their use. It is vitally important to ensure that the nursery care provider you are considering for your child is Ofsted registered.
Nurseries are required to register with Ofsted to meet the National Standards which relate to their suitability as carers of children, the safety of premises and facilities, insurance and record keeping. In addition, childcare vouchers and help with costs via tax credits can only be used in Ofsted-registered establishments. It is frequently the case that nursery staff will have been -DBS-checked but parents should not automatically assume that all carers have been subject to police checks. Supervisors and Officers in Charge will, but assistant staff may not necessarily be. Their certificate of Registration and Public Liability Insurance should always be on display.
In the UK, 50% of nursery staff in an establishment must have a childcare qualification although in practice at many nurseries this number is likely much higher. There are also strict guidelines governing the ratios of staff to children - 0 to 2 years of age 1 staff to 3 children 2 to 3 years of age 1 staff to 4 children 3-5 years of age 1 staff to 8 children
When selecting a nursery for your child, be guided by your 'instinct' when you walk through the door. Consider how flexible will they be to your child's needs which will really help your child to settle in smoothly. Do you feel as if you will be able to build a relationship with the staff who are likely to become a significant part of your child's life. How happy do the children look when you visit? Take your time and don't be afraid to visit several times or ask for a trial session for your child before making your final decision. It's worth looking to see if the school you wish to send your child to when they reach the age of 4 has a nursery attached to it. If it does, it can help make the transition from nursery to primary school much easier on your child as they will already be in the routine of attending, and many of the children your little one plays with at nursery may go on to become class mates.

Nursery Schools - Less Studies, More Fun

- Thursday, 5 November 2015 No Comments
I still keep my security question as the first school I attended because it is one of those memories that can never be forgotten. It's about the first and foremost friends we make. It is about the cry of joy and pain of moving out of our parents' sanctum. Nursery schools are the best thing that can happen to a child. Whenever I am near my kindergarten school, I still go out there to meet my teachers. Preschools are more than an educational institution, they are our first playground where we officially begin our learning process. Some things can never be forgotten and our preschools are one of them.
Journey of a lifetime
Nursery school is a distinguished phase of a child's life. It is his/ her foremost step into the world. Generally, a preschool is for a child between the age of 3 and 5 years. During this time a child is taught by means of fun and frolic. He or she is made aware that he world is far more bigger than his or her home. In a preschool a child is taught with utmost care and patience because firstly, it is to nurture manners and understanding of the world and secondly to enable him to love the world and not hate it. Being harsh with children of this age is not a good proposition.
Techniques
First a child is taught to draw straight lines, horizontal and then vertical. Then he or she is taught to draw curves and write alphabets and numbers. At the same time he/ she is also taught reading and speaking correct accent and pronunciation. The children are taken care of with absolute love and affection. There easy games like racing, lemon and spoon race, PT etc. are also taught to make them energetic. They are moulded in a frivolous manner, that they become similar to fruit bearing trees.
The system of kindergarten is borrowed from the ancient Hindu teaching system of gurukul, wherein a student was sent to live with his teachers similar to a boarding school. A different name was coined but the roots of the idea come from here. Play schools are one of the most memorable times of a child's life and these memories do not leave a person till his/ her death. A person experiences the joy of play schools thrice in his/her life, viz. his/her time, his/her child's time and finally his/her grandchild's time.
